Yes, we are fully licensed and insured for all building and remodeling work. We carry a $300,000
liability policy through Superior Insurance in Munising, Michigan. We are happy to provide proof of
licensure and insurance with every building and/or remodeling job.
2. Do you charge for estimates?
No. We provide an initial consultation free of charge. At this consultation, we will gain an
understanding of your needs and ideas, and offer any input about the job that we can provide. Once
we have a clear understanding of what the job consists of, we will do some figuring and get back to
you with an estimate. Once you accept the estimate, then we will do the initial design work, if
necessary, and proceed with the job.
3. Do you have to used green construction methods or can you use more conventional methods?
As the customer, you are in charge of deciding what is done with your home. Our job is to make your
dream become reality. Although we specialize in green construction, creative and artistic interiors,
and unique solutions for your home, a more conventional approach is certainly well within our
capabilities. We are also willing to work with you if you want to go “partially green,” finding areas in
which your home’s health can be improved with minimal extra expense.
4. What types of custom outbuildings do you build?
The sky’s the limit! We can build either permanent or mobile greenhouses, wood-fired saunas, log
buildings, potting sheds, farm structures such as chicken coops or loafing sheds, studios and
workshops, backyard cottages, pavilions, woodsheds, storage sheds, garages, or anything you need to
enhance your property. When building outbuildings, we like to customize our design for your property,
taking into account existing vegetation, terrain, and other buildings in order to come up with a solution
that takes full advantage of the uniqueness of your property.
5. Do you provide a warranty?
We will warranty all work we do for a period of two (2) years from completion of the project. We also
guarantee satisfaction with our work. If you are not happy with some aspect of the completed project,
we will fix it with no additional charge.
6. Can I get references for your work?
Yes. The owner, David Gill, would be happy to supply references for work he has done both in our
community and downstate Michigan. References can be supplied at the initial consultation or sooner if
you request them.
